No doubt about that -- and what choice does Iran have, anyway? Just to lie down and submit to the US/Israel agenda as Egypt has done -- and get paid for it? Whatever Iran does it is in trouble -- it is damned if it does and damned if it doesn't. In fact, it has no real choice but to arm itself as best as it can and let the US/Israel do their worst. But the attack doesn't happen. Like an old man who can't find his Viagra in the dark, the US dithers and procrastinates. Plays the same old porn movie over and over, almost like a mantra. Dammit, man, if the US was going to do it, what's it waiting for? For Iran to acquire even more arms? Now I see Iran has an ICBM. That should make Israel's day. > But Tehran seems to forget two things: one having to do with the nature of the US administration, and the other having to do with its own regime. Actually that's not true. The religious council, or whatever they call themselves, has curbed Ahmadinejad and has also said that they do not agree with his defiant posture concerning the nuclear issue. Not that they will accommodate the US/Israeli agenda but by backing off somewhet they hope to find support in Europe/Russia for a diplomatic process. I posted a piece to this effect a few days ago. > because the US and Israel are dictating things around the region, sectarianism is becoming rife and more dangerous than ever. Unless Iran and the Arab world understand this fact, they will be torn to pieces. As you know, that's been the name of the imperialist game since time immemorial -- and if the imperialists can get away with it yet again, then why not? Britain was the master of the "divide and rule" business and wrote the definitive manual on the subject, but the US can't get it right. So it will be interesting to see what happens.
