This guys so clearly articulates my own sentiments that it amazes me.

Couldn't agree more. Bush has had many pivotal moments during his Presidency when he could have asked Americans to support him in a new transformative direction for the US. Instead, he doesn't offer us anything new. Just more of the same ole' same ole'. How disappointing.

Also, I agree with Friedman. It's a tragedy that we've already fired Bush, as evidenced by the American vote to sweep Democrats into the majority in both houses of Congress. But why in hell do we have to wait for 2 more years to get progress on the issues we want progress on? I hate that.
