Sarman > the fact that Israel can not afford to lose 6 million people

In fact, Israel can't afford to lose any -- and the biggest threat is not that Iran will actually kill any Israelis but will frighten the settlers to go back to where they came from. In fact, I'm sure they are running already. It was all very well when Jews from downtown New York or Siberia were given a beautiful villa in the West Bank and a fat "settling in" allowance, but it's not OK when they have to face the thought of an Iranian atom bomb falling on them. That's why when the Israelis talk about a Holocaust they are serious. In fact, Israel could implode and vanish without a shot being fired.

They say Washington DC is already Israel "occupied territory".

> The US is to blame. By not negotiating with Iran and beating the war drum, they are put Israel in extreme danger.

Maybe so but I don't believe the US has a foreign policy other than the one Israel gives it. I'd say Israel has screwed up -- and screwed up the US as well. As for Israel being in danger, they put themselves in danger by believing in their own invincibility and having nothing but contempt for the Arabs/Muslims. Indeed, the US has the same hubris which will also lead to its downfall.

> The US and Israel lost the war before they started it.

I agree with you. The big question is what are they going to do about it?
