Last time a guy came at me in attack mode I gave him a side kick to his knee on his planted foot and put him down and screaming without even spilling my beer. Very effective.

You were smart to walk away. It used to be, if someone hit you first he was all yours. Nowadays you get arrested for ag assault if you overdo it and look forward to a civil suit. Trust me on his one!
