Hillary has never been a leftist. Neither she nor Bill has ever been. If they had been Bill never would have gotten elected and re-elected as governor of Arkansas, a very conservative state. Being against the war in Vietnam was just common sense. The only ones who continue to support that war are extreme rightwing fanatics, the type who love all wars, no matter how insane, wasteful or un-justified. The Vietnam War was completely un-justified and was escalated based on a big fat lie. LBJ started the lie and Nixon continued it. That war was a victory for defense contractors over everyone else. Everyone lost but the war profiteers. Over 2,000,000 people were killed for nothing. And the frist thing Vietnam did after we pulled out was go to war with red China, proving China was never their puppetmaster. They also kicked out the Soviets. The whole domino theory rightwing scare was a big fat lie, as was much of the Cold War. Most of it was completely unnecessary. And Eisenhower warned us as he was leaving office. If he had lived, JFK probably would have ended both Vietnam and the Cold War in fairly short order. Which is the real reason he was assassinated. Ditto his brother. War is big business for Bushie types. It makes their world go 'round. But someone else always pays for it. Bushie elitists never do.
