The price differential with medicare if roughly 15% BUT is has been widening in recent years and will continue unless the reimbursement formulas are changed.

Medicaid differentials in many states is shocking. Ex. Maryland (I think) offering OB_GYNs $350 total to provide a medicaid patient with 12 prenatal visits and 2 post partum visits.

As I understand it, health care providers don't have much of a problem with Medicare, it's Medicaid they don't like to take.

Not true. Look around, you will find providers that don't take new patients if all they have is Medicare. You might notice that other places mention in adds that Medicare patients are welcome. They say that because other places don't welcome them.

My own retired parents get insurance to cover the gap. It is pricey.
