yep more alarming and unfounded fears - corn is a bad raw material for ethanol and ethanol a bad substitute for gasoline. Interesting very few are thinking Butanol which is more difficult to produce. The key is still solar and sea power to generate electricity and also power hybrid cars. On top of all this Natural gas on the Atlantic Ocean floor more than cover the US energy needs and micro algae can feed on the resulting CO2 absorb heath and solar energy and be great feedstock for biodiesel
