Well, volatility also has an interest rate variable. It's not just x-y=z These people don't just pick up their finance degrees from the University of Chicago because they bought 20 bratwursts down by the Sears Tower. I've been reading that a lot of the Private Equity stuff walked away from the NYSE recently and in the news the NYSE Chairman has been saying (or praying) that they are coming back. Whatever the truth is, all I see is that the VIX keeps trending down and the market keeps trending up. --------- Sooner or later the Market will go down and the VIX will be right and for the next Millennium everyone will be talking about how the VIX predicted the mini market crash of February 2007.
