Please describe a 'multi-payer, non-profit system' with regard to only one system, i.e. healthcare. You mentioned need for such a thing in one of your posts. Such a system would consist of multiple insurance companies, all of which are non-profit. I don't think there is a need for such, I'd rather see multiple insurance companies with most of them being for-profit, but I don't mind if for some reason, non-profit ones exist as well. The situation we have now is like that, a mix of for- and non-profit. The non-profit ones tend to be linked to special groups like teachers, etc, not sure why.
