When did it become 22,500? Did they get 10,000 College Republicans to sign up? Nah! :-) Not even one would! Their "courage" is limited to calling RW talk radio and making hateful comments and stapling Ann Coulter flyers to telephone poles...

Actually, it is 21,500. I have seen so many Dumbyasscalations bite the dust (though this is the first one that has received so much attention) that I was still thinking of the previous one from 2006 with 10,000 or 12,500 troops in Baghdad. And that one failed too, as expected by folks who can think for themselves.

Maybe you are correct, they are delaying tours and stuff to keep 22,500 more there, but only 12,500 are new. However, perhaps the Log Cabin guys and the Young repugs could sign up and Bush then could send 22,500 new troops.
