If I recall correctly, the average annual compensation for a solo lawyer is less than $100,000. But that's not what you'd think if all you knew about the practice of law was what you saw in TV. You might be correct, I don't know what average legal pay is. Oddly enough one of the engineering complaints is that they don't get featured positively in TV. There is no Grisham for engineers either. This is a sore point. If you want to make a lot of money, become a dentist! Seriously. Drill, fill, and bill as they say. It is also claimed they have the highest suicide rate of all professions. Can't have everything.
