Sailtrader,

I'm afraid I misinterpreted your original comment, getting it almost backwards, as it were. Sorry about that. I'm tempted to echo your sentiments, and I'm sure many others here may feel the same. But I won't, because.. you know what? Going forward, IMO, and until a form of stasis is reached (don't hold your breath), I think all characterizations in this regard may soon become moot, relegated to idle rhetoric to keep the flywheel spinning as we await an "outcome," or at least until some plateau is reached that would allow some form of respite. Until then, I suppose a considerable amount of speculation, sprinkled with biased chaos, will prevail.

There is already a sentiment among both opportunistic and displaced workers in the States to become the next wave of migrant workforce in places like Bangalore and newly emerging offshoring havens in China, seeking to grease the edges of those centers to the ways of the West. Of course, these are not only the lower echelon cardboard packers and Windows programmers I'm referring to, but also upper-middle management types and their bosses who once mounted project trophies next to their Stanford and Wharton skins in CxO suites situated in the upper-floor corner offices of skyscrapers, as well. Does this class of latter day carpetbagger constitute "our" best and brightest who are now being evaluated and second-guessed by bloggers in Mumbai and Beijing? You can bet on it.
