I trust the DNA more than I a copied and recopied text.
Look how much the scripture changed between the group in Babylon and the group that remained in Jerusalem. They could not even keep the central 10 commandments the same (Exodus 20:2-17 or Deuteronomy 5:6-21). That's supposed to be the most direct word of God and yet it could not be copied accurately in a period of only 75 years while the two groups were separated.
