As I said before, it was not long ago, in this rich, educated country that America did not allow women to vote, Blacks and women equal rights etc. You use their slower evolution to justify their exploitation. Slave owners justified their slavery with much the same type of arguments, "their life here as slaves is better than in Africa" etc. Apartheid South Africans used the same logic to continue their system of oppression of South African Blacks ("you see all the Blacks have good paying jobs in the mines!"). The Christian Crusades (were they really Christians?), made the same claims on the heathen Moslems who were occupying the "Holy" land. Never mind that Christianity is a Europe construct and the Middle East is the epicenter of Christ, a non-European. len
