Not exactly. NH used to be a pretty libertarian place politically, though its public face was that conservative hypocrite, William Loeb, because he owned the only statewide newspaper, the Manchester Union Leader. One impetus for change was the influx of people from "Taxachusetts", who moved there because of the low taxes and surprise! found that because of the low taxes you didn't have all the government services and cushions they were used to. Russo still seems to be under the impression that NH people in general would care that Giuliani is pro-abortion. That was one of the things that was your own business.
