Yes, I guess my problem is kids running up bills that their parents have to pay for, not texting or cell phoning.

I am amazed that the internet has changed us so dramatically. I've had an online correspondence with a lady in La Plata Argentina that I've had for six or seven years. When her sister and BIL came to Juneau, I set up a dinner for them at a Spanish speaking restaurant. I was unable to be there.

If we don't kill ourselves off first, the world will eventually become a better place, provided there is universal will for that to happen. Right now it seems like there is a sizable segment of humanity that would like to blow up the other half.

Maybe the internet can eventually change that.

This is interesting. My high school graduated about 100 of us in 1954. Of those numbers nearly half are now dead. The remaining members make a pretty good effort to keep in touch. A couple of them keep a list of addresses and phone numbers. We gather every June for a picnic in a park near where most of us grew up. We typically see as many as 20 folks show up for this. We had over 70 people at our 50th reunion (which I wasn't able to attend), but that included spouses, many of whom were not classmates. The internet really helps facilitate this. We have cell phones, but as far as I know, we don't text message.
