Wow, you really got into Ham at an early age.

I started out about 8 DX'ing Medium/Short Wave in the middle of the night on school nights. My next door neighbor was a ham, so that got me started in that direction.. Worked mainly 40 meters CW, because it was a challange. Trying to work around powerhouses like HCJB. Little did I know when I was DX'ing HCJB when I was 7 that I would be spending a couple of months outside of Quito 20 years later installing new transmitter for HCJB working for Harris.

Lost interest in Ham at about 24. I have been "un-active" since then, except for the minimum contacts that I had to prove to keep the license active in the old days.

Now I guess they have vanity calls so that the young kids get a chance at the old K and W 1X2, and 1X3 calls?

Anyway.. They had me work mostly on Weekends and Friday nights at the Television Station until graduated High School. Ahhh! The good ole' days.

And so it goes,
