My point was anyone who didn't vote Kerry because he was portrayed as a "flip-flopper" probably deserves to be shot with a bag of his own sh#t. Not because Kerry was so great - he wasn't - its just that the whole "flip-flopping" argument was dumber than dumb.

I just worry for American democracy when there are so many truly important issues out there that anyone would concern themselves with such a red-herring argument. The point is all politicians are "flip-floppers". Bush was for Rumsfeld before he was against him. He even admitted he delayed firing him and still verbally supported Rumsfeld for political reasons while sons and daughters died in Iraq (not his daughter though). So lets worry about the real issues and not just some work-shopped/focus grouped catch phrases.

What that Professor did at Oxford was take a moral stand on an issue he feels strongly about - something that the intellectually honest do. If it were a Palestinian someone chose not teach you would be cheering from the rooftops as I am quite familiar with your point of view. That would make you a hypocrite but I doubt you could ever follow such a line of reasoning because you are so blinded by your hatred of Muslims.
