Uh, yeah. As in, "It isn't even close." I can't shout as loud, but it is pretty clear the other guy is essentially clueless as to the subject matter.

ROTFLMAO!! Who is the "other guy" he is talking about.. I want to see for myself that there is someone that can lose an argument to Mr. Ray... Because I don't think it's possible?? Does anyone have the link to the Message Board that Mr. Ray is talking about here, because I must have missed it.. LOL.

Denial is a wonderful thing!!

After battling over this codec thing for countless posts, he comes back and says, "Oh, I didn't mean THAT, at all!".

I didn't mean WHAT, at all?? The only one "battling over this codec thing" has been between poor David Ray and HIMSELF! But, as Mr. Rich correctly pointed out, he still only maintains a 20% chance of wining an argument with himself.

We went from "modulation analyzers" and HM, to Mr. Ray arguing with himself about codecs.

That he even tried to make the case given that XM currently broadcasts nearly 40 more channels than SIRI does really tells the story adequately.

LOL! From the, I refuse to listen to what I don't want to hear catagory.

Now we get back around to what the debate was about to begin with. It was not some cockamamy PAC vs. AACPlus debate, as Mr. Ray maintains. It was the claims that Mr. Ray stated that XM had much more system capacity "30%" than SIRI has. My viewpoint was that while at one point, this may have been true. (Four years ago). That it appears that SIRI has introduced technology to closes that gap. Mr. Ray is of the viewpoint that this is incorrect and that XM "technology platform" is "vastly" superior to SIRI's.. Noting that SIRI's constellation was underpowered compared to XM's, even though it is a FACT that it requires 300% more repeaters than SIRI's.

To support my viewpoint, I have pointed to the statement from company officials in which SIRI claims to be in the process of adding 3 Video plus Audio Channels to it's product offering.

In return, Mr. Ray simply chooses to IGNORE the Factual Informaton Provided and continues with his stifled dogma viewpoints, and claims Victory for a debate subject that never transpired.

Then highlights his viewpoint that he is victorious with a statement that XM broadcasts nearly 40 more channels of mainly low bandwidth non-music channels, while choosing to INGNORE the statements from SIRI management that appear to state that SIRI has the spectrial resources available to provide 3 channels of Video plus audio.

It is indeed a case of listening to what you want to hear, and ignoring what is actually said.

It is easy to claim victory in a debate.. That only had one participant.
And so it goes,
