Of course Buddy Ryan came to Philly soon after 85 and built one the best defensive teams in history with the Eagles, unfortunately Ryan didn't give a damn about offense, so he had an awful OL and just told Randall Cunningham to just run around a lot and give me 3 big plays a game. Buddy Ryan was likely one the worst offensive coaches in history, but was surely one the best defensive coaches in history. That Eagles team defense peaked at a truly feearsome level( teams dreaded playing Philly) but started to breakdown when Jerome Brown met a tragic early death(killed on driving a brand new sports car from the dealership, i think he got to drive that car a total of one block:( Max
