You seem to be obtuse or you just can't understand the math I guess.

Or maybe it's because I can calculate percentages. When I trade I think % gain. It's not that hard to figure out that a 1 point gain in Google isn't very impressive of a return on investment. I don't find it useful to know what GE did in 1943 to tell me how to trade in GE 2007. If the traders need a log chart to tell them that, God bless them.

If it's not like anything we've seen before than why did he make the comparison? If it's like 1929, he should have skipped the first comment. Market/segment busts are all unique in their own way. If he wants to bet that the NAS is not going to recover until 2020, he can make that bet. IMO these comparisons are like comparing the Dallas Cowboys record in 1965 to the record in 1988. About the only thing they have in common is the name of the team and it's football.

The way you're going I half expect to see that the 1987 crash was a stroke of Reagan genius.
