Condor, that link wouldn't open -- I got the error message "The PL/SQL gateway invoked a stored procedure as part of processing the URL but the procedure returned no data." (which is meaningful to me as I use that jargon in my day job).

Although my first investing purchases more than a decade ago were all mutual funds, I only have one of them left. As a truly green investor, I ventured down to the Canaccord office and amused one of their junior by opening an account to buy all of $500 worth of something called the Mutual Opportunities fund.

MO has gone through a few renames since then but my original $500 is now well over $2000. Once I started looking at investing in junior resource stocks I realized that this is also the mandate of this fund, now called Front Street Small Cap Canadian. I even get investing ideas from it!

One of the ways I think of my investments is as three mutual funds I have put together for myself -- one for mining and metals, another for energy, and third for the rest (blue chips, dividends, etc.).
