I also agree that a person's sex life is irrelevant. So, if Dick Morris wants to suck prostitute's toes, and republicans want to hire him for polical advice..fine with me. If Jim Webb wants to write "scandelous" fiction and the voters want to elect him after full revelation of his writings...fine with me. If Mary Cheney wants to have a baby, that is her business....and they should leave the Vice-President alone.

If Rudy and Newt have been married three times each, that is their private business.

People that criticize Webb's writings don't get it. Nothing he did was illegal and the voters knew about it and picked him over George 'Macaca' Allen. The voters have spoken! It's irrelevant for six years...until Webb runs again. Anybody's judgement of Webb based on his writings is irrelevant. Just like Byrd's old memberships and Strom's former political posture on segregation. If the voters decide to retain em, then the phrase is, what?: "get over it" <g>

Lots of people write insipid fiction (although Webb's got better reviews than most). So, we gotta get off his back, and Scooter Libby's and Lynne Cheney's and Newt's and even Pelosi (who has a novel out)....

Tawdry fiction seems to sell. I guess that is why they do it.
