What we need now is a gradual move back toward moderation and diplomacy. Iran's economy is suffering so we can offer a carrot and a stick, not just a stick. The stick alone is counter-productive as we have seen over the past four years. You don't need a stick at all. If the US can solve it's problems with oil dependency, what exactly does iran have to offer the US? Nothing. The US needs to stop worrying about iran, if it tests a bomb, nuke it into the far distant past. Stop worrying about Iran. If the US can figure out solutions to replacing oil, the first task, is to make sure they are not exported from the US to other countries, or made in other countries. It is time Conservatives took the lead in alternative energy, heaven knows bill clinton did little or nothing about it.
