I know ALL about Halliburton actually. I'm friends with Dan Briody. Look him up. He wrote the book about Halliburton. I've researched a lot. Apparently you've been ignoring ther long series of scandals, over-charging, fraud, illegal dealings, stolen Iraqi oil, mistreating our troops, etc.

My friend who was a Colonel in charge of Fallujah said he put a bullet through a Halliburton driver's window because the A-hole refused to obey military orders and move his truck out of the way. That is a small example of how much Halliburton is despised by our military.

Halliburton will be the first big congressional investigation and you will soon be educated. It is a very crooked company, and was also behind the escalation of the Vietnam War. It profits from quagmires big-time.

American Spirit has probably exchanged a couple of emails with Briody, so now they are “friends.” More telling is this post from AS on July 25, 2005:

But I know all about the Broidy book. (GP edit: Broidy wrote a book on the Carlyle Group). In fact he sent me one to give to John Kerry and I did. Now he's writing one on Halliburton. Can't wait to read that.

The reality is that Broidy’s book on Halliburton had already been published in April 2004, one and a quarter years before AS said that he was looking forward to its publication. As I noted in my post at the time, the book is a cut and paste job, probably rushed in anticipation of the election. While Halliburton is certainly no poster child for good corporate citizenship, there are no smoking guns in the book.

Briody's Halliburton book was published in April 2004.

amazon.com.

It is a cut and paste job. Not very good IMHO. If you locked me in a room and gave me six months, I could do a better job.
