Iran is many-many years away from having a nuclear bomb. The fear is that Bush-Cheney are so intent on attacking Iran that they will use the nuclear program as an excuse. Then set off a full scale war which will destroy what's left of our military and create hundreds of thousands of new America haters who might be recruited as terrorists. Remember, we're in their territory and they all look the same to us. Like Vietnam. We can't win. It's also their land so they're not going anywhere, and our troops want to come home, badly. Smartest thing for us to do, get off Arab oil 100%. And soon.
