Some times I think I was born in the wrong century, but then like you I'm stuck on the modern conveniences that we have now.

There are similar pictures in our family. No pictures of great grand cousin Roebuck, who was a tinker and partner of Mr. Sears and sold his interest for $25,000, just stories.

GGGG Grandfather Humphry Davy is renowned in England for having invented the carbide lamp and isolating a bunch of elements, like sodium, aluminum, and so forth.

But all of these people like your great grandmother and my ancestors had to pull what they did out of nothing. Almost create it out of thin air, so to speak. We have computers and iPods and cell phones to make things happen faster.

Maybe our challenge will be to change fast enough to keep up. If we can do that, maybe our generation will be great too.

I doubt it.
