Establishing democracy wasn't the objective, it's a johnny-come-lately rolling Republican excuse entry. The point was WMDs against the US. When the WMD argument went out the door, the entire thing began to collapse. Since then, it's been one rolling piece of nonsense after another: - establish western style democracy - prevent an Islamic caliphate whoever and whatever that is - prevent the domino, other ME states, from falling - establish a government that can maintain itself and not threaten its neighbors - prevent an American loss - prevent Iran from having nukes Everyone who's paying any attention know that Iraq is about PROFIT. It's a prolonged war FOR PROFIT. It transfers American taxpayers money into to the pockets of Bush's BASE. That's the entire point. Everything else is just a sideshow for the stupid.
