We have almost zero troops available for anything now. Our military might has been sapped and degraded in alarming ways. Our reserves are spent. Many of our soldiers are on their fourth tours. Our equipment is badly worn out. we don't have enough doctors and nurses. The whole military machine is exhausted. It's so bad we're taking criminals, drug addicts, gang members and 42 year olds. So what is Bush doing? Hiring mercenaries at ten times the pay grade of the average GI. That's where this is leading. And with the privatizing of our military comes enormous corruption and profiteering. We are currently paying a million bucks per Iraqi killed. That price is escalating quickly.
