we have people on welfare, and import people to pick fruit from Jamaica and mexico. They go home for 3 or 4 months of the year, leaving our poor undisturbed by the dreary process of work. Both my parents in their early years and my Brother and I picked fruit and pruned grapes to make a few bucks. They used to hire the men from the men's shelter to do some of the work, but then the Salvation Army stopped working with the homeless, to get into federal work doing work with former inmates and drug addicts. The winos became our homeless problem, and sleep in churches and things.... Last night it was minus 20 C here...... The Sally Ann in canada has a very negative view of Canadian Workers.......
