Do you honestly believe that money sufficient to care for the poor in this country could be obtained thru private contributions?

That never was the case, otherwise, govt. programs to assist the poor wouldn't have been instituted.

People aren't as generous in this country as you might think.

You must either been living in lalaland or you must been in a cave somewhere, cause if Bush and your fellow neoCON right wingers and zionists were to hear you say that, they most likely would have you shot for treason. Sheesh...

The poor would have more if, instead of spending our tax dollars on vast bureaucracies, people gave directly to the poor.

Gee.

What exactly prevents the ultrawealthy, Bush or Cheney or Murdoch, say, from giving everything they have above and beyond their own needs, to the poor?

What?

Pray tell.

Cheney is rumored to have $94 million and Bush about $20 million. Neither family needs anything close to that as they will receive stipends for life from said bureaucracy. Therefore, what exactly is preventing Cheney from giving $93 million and Bush $19 million TO THE POOR TODAY?

What?

Pray tell.

As for being entrepreneurs, why don't you and your rightwing buds go to Afghanistan and ply trade in a free-from-government zone?

Why?

You benefit from the laws and regulations of this country but can't seem to get it through your head that you do.
