I believe Kearsarge Pass is in the Eastern Sierra Nevada.

I suspect the other pics are also of the Sierra Nevada.

One of my favorite areas around here is the Wallowas in NE Oregon. About 2 hrs. from where I sit.

During my stint in the Marines, I was in a Construction Battalion as a surveyor. We were sent to Northern California, just outside Yosemite Park, where the Marine Corps has their "cold weather training camp". We were there during a summer to construct a new dam for a water supply. I got to spend many hours on horseback in all that wilderness country. A spectacular summer, to say the least.
