Bush is the most polarizing president we've ever seen. Rove's whole strategy is to demonize the other side (including blacks and Hispanics) and use phony wedge issues to polarize, then cheat if necessary.

Cross racial lines? When? By giving the unqualified Condi Rice a top job which resulted in 9-11? Or the convicted shoplifter he put in charge of domestic policy? Having house negros doesn't make you an integrationist. He is fairly Hispanic friendly, but that's a necessity in Texas. and his support of illegal immigration isn't to be nice to Hispanics it's to exploit their cheap labor.

As for partisan lines, he has been the most uncooperative and insulting president toward the other party that we have ever seen. He and Delay basically took over and told democrats they are irrelevant. But now the shoe is on the other foot, isn't it? Bush is fast becoming the most irrelevant man in DC. Even rightwingers like Senator Brownback are turning against him.
