Sanctimonious I am not. However, the US has sometimes a problem with backing down from the positions it chooses for itself. That the US could recognises and trade with Russia, and leave Cuba in the cold is ridiculous. Arafat murdered a US Diplomat and an aide in the Sudan, and the US fed him at the White House, surely some small step towards Castro was possible in the last 10 years. Not a big all round mission or free trade, but at least some steps to end the Communism just like the US did in Russia. Imagine you are trading with Russia and with China, but not with little Cuba. Sometimes it is frustrating to see how the US deals with countries that want to be it's friend.

most americans do not know there is a country called Canada next door. Whereas Canada lives for the united states, news, music, entertainment, income and politics.
