Getting rid of Saddam could have been handled in a much more responsible way. He was already in a box. All we had to do was keep squeezing. But first we needed to inspect and confirm he had no WMD. Bush stopped that process. And Bush had no plan for what to do after the initial invasion. Nothing at all.

Bottomline, Bush invaded on false pretenses, lied to us, covered up the real intel and had no plan for what to replace Saddam with. He also let his corporate buddies rip of uss every which way so we the taxpayers have to foot the entire bill.

You can point to democrats who voted for war powers all you want, but they were not the ones to mis-planned, lied, mis-led, continued lying and mis-leading and got us into a quagmire. Most democrats were outraged at how recklessly and carelessly Bush went into Iraq, literally without anyone but the Brits, without the UN, and without any strategy to win the peace.

Go back and read Bush-Cheney's quotes at the time. They insisted the war would cost us nothing, would be all over in a few months and that Iraqis would greet us as liberators and willingly establish a peace-loving democracy. They also strongly suggested Saddam was in with Al Qaida and therefore responsible for 9-11. All lies. Only idiots who've never read a word of history would believe them. But the Bushie lies and spin dominated the airwaves and no one else was listened to.

So this is Bush-cheney's war, and they aree the ones responsible. Certainly not the Clintons.
