The Taku is a huge river and very silted. I do not know about the Telsequah River as I only flew over it. But they used to barge ore out of there.

Durng the winter there would be no fish in the river and much of it iced over. The Taku then flows out into a deep ocean channel where they could build a dock and transfer the ore like they do at the Greenscreek mine a few miles away.

There is private property in the area.
