Roseburg is in a pretty part of the state. Are they whackjobs down there as well?

FWIW, Eastern Oregon is pretty conservative.

Actually, Bud Clark was pretty popular as a mayor. He ran a tavern called Goose Hollow that was popular too.

I've seen that statue of a woman flashing passers-by. Guess which parts are polished bright by constant caressing.

Goldschmidt was Jimmy Carter's secretary of transportation. Portland got the light rail system during that term, which I always thought was pork from that relationship.

Roseburg used to be a timber town. It is said you could tell the weather by seeing how high up on the slopes this band of feral goats was grazing.

A lot of those people in SW Oregon moved up from California to grow pot in the woods. After they found out the FS was spraying brush to help the trees grow they raised a big stink and now the spraying program is pretty much history.

<<All I know is that whenever we visit friends in Roseburg I feel like I'm on another planet.>>

My grandfather bought a fig ranch near Roseburg but didn't pay the extra $1,000 for the mountain next to it. The mountain turned out to be full of uranium and was sold later for $10,000,000. The fig ranch is now a slag pile.
