This is not a way to win votes for Obama nationwide. It may assure some votes in the Democrat Primary against Hilary but does little to gain the respect for Obama and Edwards nationwide.

Americans have agreed that Iraq is the number one issue. The President addressed the number one issue and held out the opportunity for Pelosi and Reid to join him and other leaders of Congress in an Advisory Council on The War on Terrorism.

Pelosi and Reid threw away a golden opportunity to join the President in talking about Iraq and terrorism.

Instead of bashing Bush on Katrina, I suggest strongly to Obama that he should reach out to President Bush and work with him rather than following the lead of Senator Webb, Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid.

Doing so puts him in the role of being a real leader.

Obama blasts Bush adminstration on Katrina recovery

The Republicans have effectively spun this to make it Nagin's and the governor's fault.
