For 30 years now the Germans have been negotiating internally when - if ever - to start deploying those 1200 meter deep dungeons in the Gorleben salt horst for their nuclear waste.

Not being able to move an inch ahead, that place now is major tourist attraction for German libs and their friends like Ted. They love to see those halls empty.

Expect that close down of the German coal mines operating at 3x the world price of their output - the difference subsidized by the government - to be negotiated about for at least the next 30 years.
What's amazing, those French closed down their deep coal operations and cut the losses years ago.
