You can't even comprehend the big picture of the war on terror. You appear to be puzzled all to Hell about how the troops are preventing Iran from establishing Iraq as the foothold for international terrorism I understand the big picture war on terror just fine. There would be nothing better for the US than a Shia-Sunni all out war in Iraq to help reduce fundamentalist Muslims attacking non-Muslims. When they are busy blowing each other up in Iraq who has time to mount an attack on a US embassy in Khartoum? Do you seriously not want measurable data to decide whether areas cleared and held have less violence than areas not yet cleared and not yet held? You want a new plan, but no ability to measure success/failure of the new plan? That is plain stupid, my friend.
