If your going to count the British basketball league then you have to count all the minor league baseball teams in the US, and all the other minor or secondary leagues such as the Arena Football League, and the NBDL, IBL, ABA, WNBA, AHL, ECHL, UHL, CHL, and MISL. Compare apples to apples, either your talking about major leagues (in which case I doubt British basketball leagues cut it) or your talking about any league that has pro players (in which case their are a huge number of teams in America, and multiple leagues in each sport). FYI, basketball is a big sport in Europe.....nearly as big as it is here. The BBL is a professional league........as professional as the NBA.
