Oh, yeah! During the same accident I busted up both my knees, crushed my right foot, smashed my face, and broke my neck. I HATE it when that happens! When they sent me to therapy,I was scheduled for 2 hours a day, every other day for 15 months. I went 8 hours a day, six days a week. I exercised as hard as I could - usually with tears running down my face from the pain. I took a smoke break every hour and a 15 minute lunch break. I went through my 4 hour workout every day before I went and after I returned from therapy. I was told that I could start walking the day they took the pins out of my foot, so I started running sprints. I maxed out my therapy and went for my evaluation in 3 1/2 months. I felt that babying myself wasn't going to get me where I needed to be. Nowadays, most people don't even know there was anything wrong with me.
