THE PERFECT STAR FOR AIR AMERICA

NEW YORK POST
Editorial
February 1, 2007

Well, whaddaya know - looks like Mark Green might finally get a job in the private sector.

Green's real-estate mogul brother, Stephen, emerged Monday as the latest financial angel to bail out the moribund Air America. The liberal radio network filed for bankruptcy protection three months ago, after a political-financial loan scandal exacerbated by never-out-of-the-subbasement ratings.

There's no word yet on whether Mark will get a position - on-air or in the executive suite - with the left-wing whinefest, but he's been a frequent guest host.

And maybe, just maybe, he's run his last losing campaign, following unsuccessful shots at the U.S. Senate (twice), the House, the New York City mayoralty and - most recently - New York state attorney general.

Air America and Mark Green are a perfect fit: The longer the network broadcasts, the fewer people who listen.

Much like Green's political career.
