So you agree that the state can make a better 'product' in healthcare so why are you against Medicare for all when it can be done tomorrow with the stroke of a pen?

Consider housing. I think the state provides a vital service, and even good value doing it, by having building codes, doing inspections, and enforcing compliance as well as having zoning laws and enforcing them. I don't want the state actually building the houses. That I think would result in very poor value.

I see health care as being similar. The state has important functions, but one should not assume that means all the functions are the best domain of the state.
