Ted, > Do you feel the same way about Christian fundamentalism?

Not even Pat Robertson writes poems of Christian "freedom fighters" strapping bombs to themselves.

That's one problem I have with those trying to equate Islamic fundamentalism with Christian fundamentalism. The difference is huge.

You think Christian fundamentalists are better because they don't strap on bombs? I don't see much of a difference....not strapping on a bomb does not make them any less violent. In fact, it was Christian fundamentalists who have supported Bush strongly in this violent war in Iraq, encouraged the bombing of Lebanon by Israel, and are pushing Bush to attack Iran.

Because they keep their distance from the killing that somehow makes them better? I don't think so.

Fundamentalism seems to lead to religious extremism which, in turn, tends to provoke violence.

Weepy Christian fetus-lovers have killed doctors that perform abortions all over this country.

A bomb is a bomb whether its shot from a missile launcher or strapped to one's waist. What many fundamentalists have in common........they are prepared to commit violent acts in defense of their beliefs. Whether its done by a missile or by suicide bomber, the results are the same in that death and destruction follow.

Its the height of irony that its the most pious whether Christian or Muslim whom are quickest to get violent.

As for Pat Robertson, I see little difference in calling for acts of violence and committing them yourself.
