Processing of the bulk sample is now on track for completion in February. The bulk sample is undergoing two stages of crushing and concentration to ensure maximum liberation of diamonds. The first stage, which involves crushing the material to minus six millimetres followed by DMS processing and final concentration by X-ray and grease table, is expected to be completed by the end of this week. Following this, the sample will be recrushed using a high-pressure grinding roll crusher to a minus-three-millimetre size fraction. This material will then be processed through the DMS circuit and the heavy concentrate generated will be further concentrated by X-ray sorting and grease table followed by diamond picking.

Hudson Discovers 2.4 Carat Diamond at Garnet Lake, Greenland

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 31, 2007) - HUDSON RESOURCES INC. ("Hudson") (TSX VENTURE:HUD) is pleased to announce partial diamond results from the first phase of processing of the 47 tonne bulk sample extracted from the Garnet Lake kimberlite dike in Greenland. Diamond picking of the concentrate from this initial phase has resulted in the recovery of 236 diamonds including 12 diamonds weighing greater than 0.10 carats. The largest stone weighed 2.392 carats. The next five largest stones weighed 0.399 cts, 0.310 cts, 0.245 cts, 0.220 cts and 0.191 cts, respectively. Stones totalling 9.4 cts have been recovered, to date.

"These early results clearly demonstrate the potential for the Garnet Lake dike to host large diamonds," stated James Tuer, President of Hudson. "While these numbers represent only a partial result of the analysis of our bulk sample, we felt that the recovery of this large stone warranted a press release. Stone descriptions are in line with microdiamond results. A real understanding of stone liberation, potential breakage and grade forecasts is premature at this time. However, the coarse size distribution of the macrodiamonds is consistent with the microdiamond results."

The 2.4 ct stone is described as an off-white, translucent dodecahedral twinned with inclusions. The 0.4 ct stone is a yellow, translucent, octahedral with inclusions. The stones are described by colour as follows: 128 are white, 73 are off-white, 3 are yellow, 22 are grey, 3 are brown and 7 are another colour. Photographs of the two largest stones will be available on the company's website (www.hudsonresources.ca).

It is very important to note that this represents only diamonds liberated from the initial crushing phase. The entire sample has been subsequently crushed from minus 6 mm to minus 3 mm by the high pressure grinding roll crusher. This re-crushed material has now been processed through the DMS circuit and is currently being concentrated by X-ray sorting and grease table to be followed by diamond picking.

The 47 tonne sample is being processed by SGS Mineral Services in Lakefield Ontario, an independent laboratory, accredited to the ISO/IEC Guide 25 standard by the Standards Council of Canada as a testing laboratory for specific tests. Dr. Mark Hutchison, Trigon GeoServices Ltd., and Mr. Jim Cambon on behalf of Hudson, were in charge of the collection of the bulk sample in Greenland. Mr. Cambon managed the chain of custody from the field to SGS Mineral Services. Dr. John Ferguson, a director of Hudson, reviewed this press release and is a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.
