TCS Receives Contract for Satellite Spectrum Management System

Fourth Contract Award Under Recently Secured World-Wide Satellite Systems Contract Vehicle

ANNAPOLIS, MD--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 31, 2007 -- TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NasdaqGM:TSYS - News) today announced it has been awarded a 12-month Spectrum Management System contract by the Wideband Control Program Office of the Program Management Defense Communications and Army Transmission System (PM DCATS) contracting authority at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. The contract is valued at more than $700,000 to perform spectrum management at two Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOCs) in support of the Wideband Gapfiller Satellite (WGS) system, which is scheduled to launch later this year. The contract also provides post-launch support testing for an approximate window of four to six months.

TSYS seems to be testing support as it typically has done after reporting earnings.
