I understand what you mean, and I can agree, but the right horse exhibits all of the traits of a loyal dog, and there is nothing better than a loyal dog. But the fact that a horse can take you places on its back beats even that. The best of both worlds is working with them both on a ranch with dogs taking the lead.

I've never had to support a horse. I hear it is extremely expensive.

I went through all of the breeds here ansi.okstate.edu and decided I like the Buckskin, Golden American Saddlebred and Oldenburg best.
