Iraq had eliminated WMDs. Inspectors played a leading role in this process and were busy verifying that the last of the stockpiles and programs were indeed gone. The rush to war was necessary to get the bombers in the air before Saddam could get out from under sanctions. We did not invade Iraq because we were enforcing sanctions. We invaded Iraq because sanctions were going to be lifted.

He could have had a 100 tries, it wasn't feasabile, nil, sort of a Disneyworld fantasy and really no threat. Over a billion muslims are saying the same thing, do we occupy a billion people because they desire the same thing as Saddam?
