exBoomers are always welcome in NE Tx ....

white crappie are the fish about which I was writing ... some call them white "perch", which of course, IS a different fish up north ...

black crappie are infrequent down here but the white crappie are highly prolific ....

to make your mouth really water google
Lake Fork Tx ...
less than an hour drive and some reaaaaaaaaaaaaly big bass for down here ... family had a couple of lots on the water for many years but I prefer to go on fishing expeditions of around four hours or so ... when one can't fill the boat in that time one could be compared to Scooties football picking ... LOL

we have a nice small (7500 ac) lake 10 miles and another a bit larger (12000ac) 20 miles that are yielding pretty big crappie today ... just in the local paper the local sportsman journalist said a guy who worked for me for twenty years brought him by a large mess of crappie caught this week ....

so, come on down "son", you're welcome anytime ....
